The Marine Queensland marina division's mission is to support and protect the interests of the Marina Industry in Queensland and to be an aid to their growth and development. The division's aims include;

 Advancing the development of the Marina Industry;

• To encourage best practice management;
• To aid in the handling of environmental, government and industry regulations;
• To encourage marketing and promotion of our states marinas;
• To protect the industry from unfair criticism and unfair regulation.

Sub-committees have been established within the division for the areas of interest to members:

• Technical Committee
• Government Liaison Committee
• Marketing and Industry Liaison Committee

Key issues that the division is currently involved with include draft policy guidelines for firefighting facilities on marinas, dredging and divisional branding.
